    Position Summary:

    LibertyWorks leads research and development of technologies supporting US defense business development. With a focus on early-stage Technology Readiness Level (TRL) projects and innovative solutions, LibertyWorks delivers technology demonstration programs that enable and enhance the capabilities of our customers’ next-generation power systems.

    What you’ll be doing:

    • Supporting the LibertyWorks Advanced Platforms Program team in daily tasks and customer deliverables

    • Establishing a detailed cost and schedule plan for an activity and then execute the plan • Managing the cost accounts of small projects

    • Preparing for and assisting in conducting internal and external monthly program management reviews

    • Developing proposal inputs and performing cross-checks to validate data

    • Preparing and submitting reports for customer contract deliverable requirements

    • Learning about project management tools and techniques, earned value concepts, gas turbine engines and the aerospace industry

    • Participating in opportunities to meet with leaders throughout Rolls-Royce to learn about the numerous career paths and opportunities available

    Who we’re looking for:

    • Flexibility and the ability to deal with the ambiguity that comes with research and development projects

    • Strong problem-solving skills demonstrated through effective interpersonal skills and collaboration

    • The ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with a variety of audiences (e.g., shop floor personnel, technical experts, and management)

    • The ability to present work clearly and confidently along with preparing supporting visual aids

    • Able to work independently to plan and execute tasks in order to meet program deadlines

    Relevant majors:

    Currently attending an accredited university/college working toward a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in:

    • Business

    • Management

    • Engineering Management

    Minimum GPA: 3.0

    Preferred qualifications (but not required):

    • Understanding and experience with MS Office
    • Prior technical internship or co-op
