    The Purchasing Analyst Will facilitate & oversee the investigation, identification, qualification and procurement of new and existing materials, components and services, at a global level, for Saint-Gobain Life Sciences. Collaborates with internal stakeholders such as our Application Engineering teams and Global Quality/Regulatory departments to identify vendor/supply resources within the Components Category (i.e. clamps, fittings, gaskets, flow meters, syringes, etc.).

    Will assist the Category Manager to develop a category management approach for major expenses in-scope and carry out RFP and negotiations according to the purchasing process.

    Will support the product design and development functions and coordinate activities with designers and engineers to specify products that will maximize product design performance, cost effectiveness and project timelines. Will be an integral part of product development teams across numerous sites and during all phases of the product development life cycle.

    Key Accountabilities:

    Purchasing category management - Gather, sort and analyze and possibly correct data for categories including but not exclusively: Packaging, Rigid Containers, Tubing, Clamps, Connectors, Filters, Inserts, Needles, and Electronics; identify cost mitigation opportunities; create supply/service agreements; invoice troubleshooting

    Quoting process assistance - Source new materials, components and services for new product development projects across the global business; Participate in development of core team activities by reviewing and working toward standardization of specifications; Ensure vendors considered are in compliance with standard requirements from Global Purchasing and Global Quality; Provide up-to-date specific prices/costs and lead-times on customers’ request for quotes

    Required Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in business or related, required
    • 1+ years of experience in procurement/supply chain, required
    • Contract negotiation experience with suppliers, preferred
    • Experience in a regulated industry supporting new product development for custom manufactured products, preferred
    • Project Management Experience, preferred

Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees’ wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the national pay range for this position which is $68,700 to $106,300 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

    In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 9% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $74,883 to $115,867. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
