WHY DO WE NEED YOU?
The Senior Quality Technician plays a critical role in ensuring product compliance with internal and external quality standards. This position is responsible for final product approval, inspection, and performance evaluation using statistical tools and control charts. The technician supports continuous improvement initiatives, maintains quality documentation, calibrates equipment, and collaborates across departments to uphold ISO standards and drive process excellence. Flexibility in shift assignment, work schedule, and cross-functional accountability is required. Perform instrumental and visual analyses to determine the material being processed meets the required quality standards of the product specifications. Responsible for reporting analysis, and development of causes of discrepancies and recommendations for improvement in procedures or processes as needed to improve product quality.

Essential Duties:
Final Product Approval : Stamp and authorize finished goods that meet quality specifications
Product/Process Inspection : Conduct inspections at various production stages to ensure compliance.
Quality Management System / Testing Plan Execution : Follow established protocols to validate product quality.
Performance Evaluation : Use Excel to analyze graphic control charts and statistical data.
Equipment Calibration : Perform routine calibration of measurement and testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Statistical Analysis : Apply basic statistical methods to interpret data and support decision-making.
Customer Service Orientation : Address quality concerns and provide timely feedback.
Continuous Improvement : Identify improvement opportunities and support lean initiatives using tools like 5S, Kaizen, and root cause analysis.

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required, Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is required.
- Must have above average Math skill. (Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent’s, as well as develop and interpret bar graphs, control charts.
- Successful candidates must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and in a timely manner.
- Ability to read, write and understand English language instructions and communicate in English in technical situations. Must be able to communicate with all levels within the organization. Spanish language is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral and diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Must be able to work independently with limited supervision, to coordinate with supervision on all shifts to assure proper communications.
- Must be capable of using the following equipment: micrometer, thermometer, caliper, dial indicator, gages, scales, gauge blocks, calibrator, deadweight tester, amp meter, torque wrench, taper gages, balance clips, durometer, burst tester, ruler, others.
- Computer knowledge is required.
- Must have the ability to effectively present information
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Willingness to accept variable schedules in order to maintain continuous quality operation.
