WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

QA Technician I is responsible for performing physical and chemical analyses and equipment calibrations against documented procedures. QA Technicians enter test results in appropriate database & participate in review of work instructions. QA Technicians must maintain a clean work area, and be knowledgeable of and follow documented laboratory safety procedures.

• Maintain quality system documentation to comply with ISO requirements and good lab practices
• Keep calibrations, specs, test methods & other quality records accurate and up to date
• Provide accurate, timely data to the plant, R&D, and our customers
• Keep good inventory of samples, per requirements, and perform other non-test related tasks to meet QA and client requirements

Other duties as assigned.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

REQUIRED

• High school diploma, including math and science classes
• QA Tech 1 Training or Bachelor's Degree in lieu of training

PREFERRED

• Bachelor of Science or related field
• Experience in a laboratory environment

Essential Functions

• Review (as requested) and provide update information for existing lab procedures and test methods. Maintenance of our quality system documentation to comply with ISO requirements and good lab practices.
• Maintain data management systems as directed to ensure specifications, customer distribution lists, methods, etc. are kept evergreen. Keep calibration, specs, test methods & other quality records accurate and up to date
• Perform physical analyses, calibrations, understand testing needed per the quality plans, and data entry. Request revisions on standard work instructions as required. Provide accurate, timely data to the plant, R&D, and our customers.
• Maintain QA samples inventory for customer, R&D, & inquiry requests. Manage retained samples to dispose of samples as needed. Keep good inventory of samples per requirements and perform other non-test related tasks to meet Q.A. & client requirements.
