Job Summary

The primary purpose of this position is to provide engineering support for the quality and production departments. Activities will include developing and documenting standards, creating and updating risk assessments, conducting job safety assessments, and identifying and implementing process improvement solutions.

• The individual will work with management, the plant engineer, operators, group leaders, and maintenance personnel. The individual will confer with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations. Additionally, the individual may confer with vendors to determine equipment specifications and maintenance requirements and recommend the equipment maintenance procedures.
• The candidate must be able to work at the Saint-Gobain facility in Huntsville, AL and must provide their own transportation. The candidate should be able to work independently to produce desired results.
• Performs technical tests and experiments for manufacturing engineering - Performs set up of processes equipment, maintenance and PM of equipment.

Required Qualifications

• The ideal candidate should be a sophomore, junior or senior in Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred) with some engineering or technical coursework complete.
