Job Description
Perform QC laboratory chemical analysis to support production units. This includes analysis of process intermediates, pesticide active ingredients, agricultural formulations, raw materials, residual impurities, and environmental products. The test methods, in most part, are established and routine. Report results to production units from which the samples originated. Follows all procedures and requirements to ensure full compliance with the site Quality Management System, and Syngenta manufacturing and quality control specifications. This is an entry level laboratory position. Shift work is required, which may include weekends and holidays.

Qualifications
Critical knowledge
Analytical procedures (SOPs), operation and troubleshooting laboratory instruments and equipment (GC, HPLC, viscometer, densitometer, particle size analyzer, pH meter, titration), good housekeeping and laboratory practices, QA/QC procedures, SPC, and computer operation.
Critical skills
Laboratory equipment operation and instrumentation troubleshooting skills, project planning, proper documentation, effective communication, basic math, use of Microsoft Office programs. Knowledge of GC and HPLC instruments, using Chromeleon and Sample Manager (LIMs) software are a plus.
Critical experience: Minimum four-year college degree with science major (chemistry degree desired), or high school diploma with minimum of 5 years industrial QC laboratory experience and knowledge of instrumentation.
