    As Product Marketing Director, you will lead the market positioning and strategic narrative to drive awareness, preference and growth with prospects, customers and analyst influencers for the products that fuel our Intelligent Automation Platform.   

     

    You are the expert on the market and our buyers, who are they, how they buy and their key buying criteria.  You will define our perspective on the market and our go-to-market strategy. You will position offerings effectively and deliver compelling and differentiated messages in multiple formats across multiple channels, so they resonate with the market.

     

    You are a smart, creative marketer whose strong blend of strategic marketing expertise and technical understanding enables you to adeptly create compelling marketing and sales enablement content.

     

    Reporting to the head of Product Marketing, you will interact with corporate marketing, demand generation, product management, field sales, customers, prospects, partners and analysts.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Understand and document our buyer’s process, including where they get information, and the who, what, when and why behind the decisions they make. Then drive changes to our sales and marketing processes based on that.
    • Develop a marketing plan for the products you support in conjunction with our marketing team, including key activities and budgets to support the retention of existing customers and the acquisition of new customers. Assess the effectiveness of the marketing programs that support your products on an ongoing basis, and adjust future programs.
    • Plan the launches of net-new products and releases of existing products and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan. Thought Leadership – as a storyteller, describe in customer language value propositions and business benefits that resonate from the individual contributor to C-level execs through website material, blogs, videos, eBooks, presentations, etc.
    • Understand the competitive landscape—be an expert on our competition and how they are positioned.
    • Customer Advocate – understand customer needs, pain points, and opportunities, and reflect those in internal and external communication
    • Collateral Creation – Product and sales presentations, webinars, videos, blogs, etc.
    • Sales Enablement – Understand and support our sales channels; train them on the problems we solve for our buyers and users; develop internal tools and external collateral and teach them how and when to use it.
    • Product Launch – Plan the launches of net-new products and releases of existing products, and manage the marketing-related implementation of the plan
    • Program Management – juggle multiple projects, meet deadlines, deliver results
    • Define new market opportunities and bolster our current ones with compelling business cases for expanding market presence or entering new markets based on market and customer insights, reviews and feedback
    • Selling – your ideas and strategy (it’s not easy being revolutionary)
    • Collaborate with product management and marketing communications to develop product positioning and messaging that resonate with our target buyer personas.
    • Evangelism - serve as the subject matter expert and spokesperson aligning market and competitive intelligence, data-driven insights and market trends for internal and external audiences and speaking engagements.  Work with our internal and external media and analyst resources to build awareness and understanding of Kofax’s Intelligent Automation Platform for positive perception and placement in media and analyst reports (Magic Quadrant, Waves, etc.)

     

    The ideal candidate will be a go-getter with a demonstrated track record of gathering and translating customer insights, competitive intel plus product and portfolio value into unique, compelling stories.

    • 5+ years enterprise product marketing experience in a software or technology company, preferably in the Automation – Analytics – AI market
    • Proven track record developing and executing metrics-driven go-to-market plans for a product or solution portfolio in partnership with cross-functional teams spanning product management, product development, marketing and sales
    • Familiar with marketing automation tools and power user of networking tools such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
    • Exceptional ROI-tracking skills, able to prove what is –or isn’t—working
    • Strong ability to take initiative, collaborate and drive results through a global team
    • Must be a strong public speaker, comfortable in front of large, senior groups, and a solid writer
    • Experience working in a b2b sales driven organization
    • Advanced degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred
    • Ability to travel as needed.
