Our RRD Marketing Solutions plant offers a full range of digital print-on-demand (wide- and grand-format and color and black & white with variable data capabilities), just-in-time offset print, pre-produced inventory management, warehousing and distribution services. We are strategically located in St. Charles with the capability of servicing any customer nationwide. Customers can access a network of strategically located RR Donnelley facilities throughout North America to optimize production and fulfillment for longer-run stored inventory and short-run on-demand materials. Our Print Fulfillment & Distribution Services are part of our complete and fully integrated total print management program and supply chain solution.

The Digital Print Operator produces quality products to meet customer specifications and company quality standards. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate digital print equipment to optimal production standards.
• Produce digital products to customer specifications and quality standards
• Maintains accurate production records
• Rips digital files for production
• Loads/unloads finished product from the machine
• Makes efficient use of inventory on hand
• Loads inks and performs routine maintenance
• Operates finishing equipment, performs table work and packouts as required
• Other duties as requested or required

THIS POSITION IS AVAILABLE 6PM-6AM, 3 DAYS ON/4 DAYS OFF (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, Friday, Saturday, alternating on an 8-week rotation).

Required Skills

• PC literate, able to navigate files and folders to set up equipment for production
• Ability and motivation to learn new digital equipment, EFI Vutek 5000R.
• Quality focused, ability to recognize color issues and recommend solutions
• Self-motivated team player

Physical abilities:  Able to lift up to 60 lbs., ability to stand for a full 8 or 12-hour production shift, ability to handle materials up to 5ft x 10ft of various weights, lifting from floor to table height

Required Experience

• High School/GED required.
• Minimum 2-3 years in a manufacturing environment with print experience
• Experience in a large format digital environment with Monarch Management Systems highly preferred.

• Ability and motivation to learn new digital equipment, EFI Vutek 5000R.
• Quality focused, ability to recognize color issues and recommend solutions
• Self-motivated team player
