They follow double verification steps to ensure the correct labels are placed on the correct package(s) and that all packages are accounted for and reconciled. The assist the Production Coordinator with all functions of the Shipping area.
- Uses Fed Ex, UPS, DHL, and RRD Logistics software to prepare packages for shipping. Most of these systems have the ability to import address files to increase accuracy and efficiency. The user must be familiar with all capabilities and functionality of the software.
Verifies job tickets by checking for correct quantities and shipment addresses; Fills out Bill of Lading using Info share information from the shipment (beginning and ending numbers); Verifies manifests and/or way bills by matching them up with job ticket and pack-out information to ensure that all documentation is accurate and that all product is accounted for.
- Liaison between Project Management, supervision and the shipping department. Shipping subject matter expert for other internal resources.
- Enters shipping quantity and other information into JTR to ensure correct quantities are recorded
- Inspects all documentation, and, if requested, prints carton labels for production by matching quantities with Info share quantities and the Bill of Landing to the job ticket, as well as checking for correct addresses and shipping requirements to ensure that all documentation is accurate and complete. All inaccurate documentation is returned to the previous process and inaccuracies are explained.
- Produces daily mail and package reports and posts for the Logan facility.
- Produces special project reports and posts for Project Management
- Enters daily shipping information into the computer using the Bill of Lading, cover sheets, and transfer, to ensure that the packages get to the customers.
- Tracks shipments in question using the Bill of Lading and job tickets and questionable shipments using the carrier computer systems and by contacting carriers for proof of delivery to verify package delivery.
- Schedules long haul and special loads and reconciles all transfers in Info share.
- Coordinates freight and bulk air carriers using information from the job ticket transfer or cover sheet to set up shipment dates.
- Organizes the work area to maintain a safe and clean environment.
- May include other duties as assigned.

- Good communication skills both oral and written. Ability to train new shipping clerks.
- Basic math skills.
- Good computer skills.
- Hand truck experience.
