The bindery operator will set-up operate and maintain die cutting and folder/gluer equipment. Perform all make readies and make any minor adjustments needed to produce cut products used in folding and gluing operations or as standalone product.  The Bindery Operator will adhere to all safety and quality standards and operate the equipment in an efficient manner.  The Operator will be responsible for accurate labeling of outgoing products and accurate record keeping of counts and versions.  The Operator will perform all required preventative machine maintenance (daily, weekly, monthly).  The Operator will work with and assist the Maintenance Technicians as needed on repairs or modifications.  We are seeking Operators with die cutting experience, however we do offer an apprenticeship training program for the die cutter operator position.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Make ready, operate and maintain die cutter and folder gluer
• Identify, troubleshoot and correct product defects
• Set both upper and lower stripper boards and pins
• May set up and operate blanking die cutter
• Read and understand job ticket specifications. Set and operate machine to published specifications
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on die cutters as needed
• Enter production data through keyboard interface
• Operate the machine at the highest production speed while maintaining the highest quality products
• Other duties as assigned
