- Plans full truck and LTL (less than truckload) outgoing freight based on customer specific routing requirements.
- Coordinates finished goods inventory to maximize truck usage.
- Provides support to both Customer Service Reps and customers.
- Provides reports to internal customers such as Customer Service Reps and responsible for Customer Service interface.
- Resolve daily logistical issues timely and communicate effectively to all affected parties.
- Provide basic departmental & logistics reporting.
- Ensuring company compliance and policies are followed.
Required Skills
- Minimum of at least three years previous transportation / logistics experience preferred
- Previous experience & working knowledge of any transportation management software is an asset.
- Results-oriented through project management
- Accurate with strong attention to detail
- Highly organized with the ability to multi-task.
- Self-directed while being a team player
- Team cooperation and respect is required.
- Able to work in fast paced environment.
- Independent decision making skills.
Required Experience
- High school diploma, and/or an associates degree or bachelor’s degree in business or relevant work experience is preferred.
- Minimum of at least three years previous transportation / logistics experience preferred
- Previous experience & working knowledge of any transportation management software is an asset.
- Supervisory experience is required.
