This is a training program that provides training to perform all of the general duties of a sheet fed press operator. The program is designed to be completed in 12 months or less. General Duties:
- Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain a sheet fed multi-color offset press
- Review job specifications to determine the press setup according to the imposition of the run
- Perform all make-ready tasks associated with the type of press operated
- Make necessary color corrections and/or press adjustments prior to production run to meet and maintain the quality specifications of the work
- Clean, lubricate, and maintain the press, making minor repairs and replacing worn or broken parts as required

Required Skills
- Effectively communicate with all team members while building collaborative relationships
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form
- Recognize, identify, and analyze problem situations, and collaborate with others to generate options and alternative solutions
- Ability to perform a variety of calculations involving whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and percentages, in addition to using a standard ruler
- Possess strong attention to detail and quality of work product
Required Experience
- Experience with various hand tools including line gauge, loupe, plate wrench, blanket wrench and ink knife
- Demonstrated basic computer skills; Gmail, Google, Word and Excel
The national pay range for this role is $21.10 to $25.25 / hour. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location of the hired employee. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
