• Manages and is accountable for sourcing projects from inception through execution to sustainability.
• Applies project management methodology, tracking and meets deadlines for sourcing activities related to assigned projects.
• Will represent Sourcing on various collaborative business teams. Will serve as the single point of contact between Business Managers and Sourcing for all material and supplier related issues.
• Participates as sourcing representative in applicable Business Reviews. Accountable to the business team for the resolution of all supplier related sourcing, expediting and quality issues
• Maintain detailed product cost reports for Project Leaders, providing insight into current and pending cost changes
• Establish and communicate Small and Disadvantaged Business sourcing plan for projects, ensuring alignment with commodity and business leads
• Develop and publish and monitor sourcing KPI dashboards for open projects to project team
• Negotiate pricing, contract and delivery terms for all purchased finished medical devices for applicable projects.
• For New Products
  • Will be Sourcing Project Manager for all new product development teams
  • Facilitate early involvement with commodity managers and suppliers in the design process, ensuring parts are designed for manufacturability and cost
  • Responsible for coordinating project timelines with commodity leaders and plant planning/purchasing to on-time launch of new products
  • Responsible for ensuring overall cost targets for new product introductions are met
• For Existing Products,
  • Will own costed Bill of Material, developing and implementing strategies for product cost reduction in line with business requirements.
  • Will coordinate with commodity sourcing to ensure commodity strategies align with business requirements
  • Will lead material strategy and phase in/out plans for manufacturing transfers.
  • Work with marketing leaders, commodity managers, and plant sourcing individuals to establish and document a multi-year cost out road map for projects.
  • Establish supply risk profiles for each product line and work with commodity managers to generate risk mitigation plans for high risk suppliers
• Ensure that all required training is identified for and completed by all direct reports
