    POSITION SUMMARY

     

    Apply knowledge of business and technology to pursue the development of integrated technical and user-oriented solutions for a web-based data distribution platform.  Serve as a liaison between internal and external customers within functional IT departments during the initial phases of development.   Following established business analysis and agile development methodology , define the system and functional requirements of technical projects and follow through to frequent and rapid production deployments.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Apply in-depth professional experience and a broad knowledge of both business and technology to analyze and develop integrated solutions to deliver solutions to moderate and complex technical or business initiatives.
    • Actively participate and interact with customers (both internal & external) to understand business needs, identify the best solution, and collaboratively architect the processes to meet objectives.
    • Develop precise business use case and user story documentation of prioritized functional requirements that can directly be converted to test plans, and system conceptual designs.
    • Partner with business architects and other system stakeholders to assess current capabilities and identify high priority improvements.
    • Provide development estimates, track progress against these estimates and control project scope.
    • Anticipate and document how system changes and enhancements will affect upstream and downstream processes.
    • Establish and monitor test conditions and expected results for product, performance and user acceptance testing.
    • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

     

     

     

    Required Skills

    REQUIRED SKILLS:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Project Management or similar role with 5-7 years of relevant work experience OR demonstrated ability to meet the job requirements.
    • Working knowledge developing web based solutions
    • Data transformation and automation experience a plus
    • Knowledge of print and fulfillment business a plus
    • Working knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server preferred), SQL coding, BI/Reporting tools a plus.
    • Work experience in an Agile development environment is preferred.
    • Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps, Jira or other agile-oriented workflow tools is required.
    • Prior external customer facing experience is strongly preferred.
    • Must be able to organize and prioritize existing resources while incorporating user feedback to implement the most effective solutions.
    • Must be able to lead technical discussions, record decisions and team-member obligations, then follow-through on delivery.
    • Able to mentor junior level team members in the use of tools and/or systems pertaining to their position.
    • Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adjust messaging to audiences with varied technical background using language that is accessible for others to understand.
