    Job Description

    • Install, modify, repair, maintain, troubleshoot, test, and load new and existing electrical lines, circuits, systems, and associated fixtures, controls, and equipment
    • Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment
    • Performs preventative maintenance on all plant equipment using a variety of machines and tools to prevent equipment breakdown.
    • Repairs all plant equipment using various tools and machines to keep equipment in good working condition.
    • Operates all shop equipment (turret lathes, milling machines, saws, drills, etc) using job knowledge and experience to build, modify, and repair plant equipment.
    • Builds new machinery and makes adaptations to existing machinery using research and development techniques to produce new and unique products.
    • Performs plumbing, general carpentry, and electrical duties using various tools and machines to safely upgrade, modify, and repair plant equipment.
    • Maintains the building and grounds by removing snow, running the sprinkler system, and monitoring the HVAC (Heating and air conditioning system) to provide a clean and comfortable work environment for all associates.
    • Trains associates using acquired skill and job knowledge to educate all Inserter personnel and to keep them updated on the latest equipment and machinery.
    • Responsible for the uptime of equipment to ensure SLAs are met.
    • Instructs new employees on machine knowledge.
    • Steps in and takes over when the Inserter Technician is at a roadblock and additional trouble shooting abilities are need for repair. Problem Resolution and Technical Ability are Key Attributes for this position.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Thorough knowledge of the construction, installation, operation, and troubleshooting of sophisticated circuitry and controls associated with unique projects
    • Examples include ability to formulate the layout sketch of required electrical circuits, wire new test setups, install strain gauge circuits and recording instruments as needed by the test program to measure performance of test articles, check the installed system to insure that specified electrical test conditions are attained, and may troubleshoot the electrical portions of the test equipment during test programs to determine cause of malfunction
    • Critical limits are controlled by intricate interlock of safety systems of novel design and great complexity
    • Knowledge and ability to anticipate and respond quickly to danger signs as they become evident through intricate warning systems to avoid loss of time and expensive equipment
    • Must have skill in the use of hand tools, power tools and test equipment needed to perform job effectively
    • Knowledge of electronics to electronic components such as resistors, capacitors, and transistors
    • 2 years post-secondary education degree or certificate in electronics education, or equivalent work experience.
    • Two years of extensive electronic and industrial electronic (e.g., AC, DC and Servo drives, PLC, etc.) training with work experience.
    • Excellent troubleshooting abilities.
    • Self-motivation to work on an individual basis.

    Additional Information

    Starting Wage:

    • $23.53/hr

    Available Shifts:

    • Training will be on A Shift - Mon - Fri 7am - 3pm with no shift differential.
    • Training time will vary, but generally is for a couple of months.
    • After Training, a regular shift will be determined at that time.
    • It will most likely not be on A shift.
    • Maintenance shift schedules, overtime requirements, and schedule changes for business needs can be discussed in the interview process.

    Disclosure Statement:

    The pay range for this role at the noted location is $23.53 - $31.31 per hour. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay.
