To help us drive excellence, you’ll get to:
- Perform extensive die maintenance by retrimming pads and forms and engineering changes on all types of die.
- Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machine, blanchard and surface grinder to machine parts.
- Analyze specifications, lays out metal stock, sets up and operates machine tools and fits assembles parts to fabricate and repair metalworking dies, cutting tools, jigs and fixtures, gauges and machinist's hand tools.
- Studies specifications such as blueprints, sketches, models or descriptions and visualizes product to determine materials required and machines to be used to fabricates parts and make repairs.
- Examines standard or previously used dies, tools, jigs and fixtures to recommend design modifications regarding construction and function of part.
- Connects wiring and hydraulic lines to install electrical and hydraulic components.
This full-time, hourly role is a part of our Tooling team and reports to the Tooling Manager. $32.50 an hour, plus $1.50 shift premium. 2nd shift, which is 2pm-10pm.
Required experience:
- Experience repairing large dies both inside presses and outside presses.
- Journeyman card preferred - $2.00 per hour additional for Journeyman.
