    As the Manufacturing Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the activities of hourly manufacturing and/or support employees for multi-functions and departments.

    You will oversees manufacturing support processes to ensure optimum quality, costs, on-time delivery of products and safety standards.

    3RD SHIFT: 11PM TO 7AM (STARTING ON SUNDAY EVENING)

     MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Plans, organizes, staffs, directs, supervises and supports daily manufacturing and/or support functions with the manufacturing plant.
    • Supports employees to achieve plant objectives by actively identifying barriers and taking steps to eliminate them.
    • Develops and implements operating methods and procedures, and training in support of same.
    • Initiates personnel actions (e.g. promotions, transfers, hiring/selection, separations and disciplinary actions).
    • Cultivates an environment conducive to employee involvement by providing vision, generating commitment, encouraging work redesign, and facilitating empowerment/ennoblement of employees.
    • Provides counseling and assistance in job related tasks associated with participative management, team facilitation, team leadership, and team membership.
    • Identifies need for and provides training in necessary to facilitate personal and professional development. Similarly, actively pursues personal / professional development.
    • Establishes and enforces standards (e.g. safety, attendance, production, behavior, and quality control).
    • Coordinates production activities with other functions/departments.
    • Demonstrates positive leadership characteristics and ensures continuous development of staff through principles of performance management.

    Required Skills

    • Proven track record meeting objectives
    • Analytical ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

    Required Experience

    • A high school diploma. Bachelor's degree in business or related area is preferred.
    • A minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing environment(preferably printing)
    • 3 or more years of experience in a supervisory function with multiple direct reports, or progressive experience with coaching/mentoring/training experiences
    • Experience working in an environment utilizing formal continuous improvement methodologies is a plus (e.g. Six Sigma, Lean)
