    POSITION SUMMARY:

    Provide customer satisfaction that meets or exceeds the expectations of AR Customer Service accounts. This is achieved by building a sound professional relationship with the customers that will enhance our market posture, have a positive impact on the financial performance of the company, and provide exceptional customer service to both the customer and the AR Marketing Group.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • 25% Processing of EDI, online, fax and email orders. Answering emails, returning calls, etc…
    • 25% Issuing and Monitoring Customer Semi-Annual Return Allowances. Processing Semi-Annual Return Credits within 5 days of receipt.
    • 20% Receiving and processing all RMA for the AR group. Issuing credit and clearing inventory balances.
    • 20% Problem solving customer orders, debits/credits and warranties. Manage order/shipping status, pricing, order availability, expedite orders and customer returns.
    • 10% Provide daily and monthly reports to management as needed. Maintain Semi-Annual Returns system.

    QUALIFICATIONS:  _To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. _

    • Minimum Requirement – High School with 5 years general, 2 years specific experience.

    • Or 2 years college (Associate Degree) with 1 year specific experience.

    • Progressions will be on job performance, responsibilities and demonstrated leadership abilities.

    REQUIRED SKILLS:   

    • Must have excellent phone communication skills with customers.

    • Must have the ability to understand customer requirements and convert to Gates nomenclature.

    • Must be proficient in operation of PC’s and associates software and mainframe systems.

    • Must be well organized, disciplined and assertive.

    • Must be able to proficiently handle written communications.

    • Must be a team oriented individual and able to work with minimal supervision.

    • Must be proficient in use of ORACLE/Planning systems as well as Microsoft Office Applications (specifically Excel).

    • Excellent business decision skills made with little time for reflection.

    OTHER:

    Must have the capability to work under continually stressful situations.  Workloads are volatile and sometimes necessitates unusual working hours.  Must deal with constant deadlines and changing of customer priorities.  Periodic overnight travel to customers and Gates plants less than 10%.

     

    CONTACTS:

    (INTERNAL):  Daily contact with various levels as required in AR Sales, Marketing, Marketing Accounts Payable, Product Application, Technical Quality, Traffic, Credit an all associated support areas.  These contacts are associates, partners and clients to the Poplar Bluff plant. 

    (EXTERNAL):  Daily contact with Buyers, Material Desk personnel, Gates field, plants, distribution centers, Regional Sales Managers, and periodic contact with Customer’s upper level management.

     

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

     

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
