Job Summary

The Chemist will use state of the art laboratory equipment to perform accurate and timely chemical analysis of products/materials and reporting these data in concise laboratory reports. The role extends to assisting clients in determining the analytical options available and interpretation of data provided.

The individual will assist the Group Leader in evaluating, recommending and acquiring new analytical technologies/capabilities to replace or augment the current instrumentation. The Chemist will work with the team to maintain the analytical equipment through proper servicing or preventative maintenance in conjunction with manufacturer to maximize up-time.

The Chemist will assist the Group Leader to review and update test methods used for analytical characterization as needed to maintain an efficient and effective process for meeting or exceeding client’s expectations. Assist the Group Leader in providing proper training of analytical laboratory methods to technicians and co-ops as appropriate. The Chemist will work with the Group Leader as needed to drive the various testing, safety and 6S programs to completion.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Material Science, Biology or other science related field.
