Business Development Manager - Construction & Agriculture
Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Manages, develops and implements marketing activities to maximize sales of an assigned product or brand. This position will report directly to the VP, Vertical Market.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyzes product performance, product competitiveness, and product trends in the marketplace and develops strategies for assigned product/brand based on research and analysis. Works with sales teams to identify and implement appropriate sales strategies. Responsible to grow share at new and existing construction and agriculture OEMs. Partner with strategic marketing to develop industry maps, define market problems, and design growth strategies for construction and agriculture market. Build and manage a funnel of new growth opportunities owned by yourself or seller(s). Become trusted partner with sellers to support growth within existing OEM accounts. Manage a list of new OEMs to build relationships and sales funnel with. Provide input to product development, marketing, sales, and operations for changes to existing business in order to better serve customers.
Travel up to 50% of time (post COVID).
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
Bachelor’s Degree in related field
4 years of experience
Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices and procedures
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Performs a variety of tasks
May lead and direct the work of others
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
Familiarity with construction and agricultural equipment and OEMs
Articulate past commercial success building new business with OEMs
