    Job Description

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Continuous Improvement internship gives students the opportunity to participate in exciting front-line business support functions. As a RBS intern with Rexnord, you will be part of the Zurn RBS team, where you will be assigned a mentor and will have opportunity to participate in leadership development and networking activities to gain exposure to Rexnord culture and leadership.  The RBS Intern will also have opportunity to develop general business and leadership skills.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Partner with leaders, to assess current processes and identify process improvement opportunities.
    • Manage the process of selecting, scoping, and prioritizing CI projects including review of resource utilization across the organization.
    • Collaborate with leadership to create best practices related to all functions to further align with overall business strategy.
    • Develop and manage financial benefit and key performance indicator bowlers related to major activities.

    EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIRED

    • Currently pursuing bachelor’s degree: engineering preferred
    • Lean experience desired
    • Interest in mechanical tools, equipment, and processes (mechanical aptitude/hands on experience a plus)
    • Strong problem-solving skills
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
