    Job Description

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Rexnord Business Systems (RBS) Engineer is the Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement Engineer.  Successful candidates will make immediate contributions through enhancing key business processes the add value to Our Customers, Our Shareholders, and Our Associates.  Focus will be on improving operational excellence aspects of manufacturing operations in regards to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity/Efficiency, and overall Profitability.  This position will be responsible to learn the Rexnord Business System and the RBS Core Business Processes, to adopt the Rexnord standards, and apply & uphold the expectations set by these standards. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Drives tangible and measurable improvements of key processes through the leadership, training and mentoring of a team.
    • Assist teams in developing a Lean Roadmap to use in the deployment of strategic objectives.
    • Coach and mentor associates and leaders in the use of various tools, concepts and practices around RBS.
    • Directly supports a site in achieving strategic deployment objectives by conducting on-site workshops, kaizen events, assessments and providing guidance through the lean transformation process.
    • Develop and upgrade RBS materials.
    • Identifies and shares best practices across multiple sites.
    • Work with the Plant Managers and other functional leaders as a leader to define current state situation, assess gaps in process, capabilities, & talent, while assisting in the development of the future state in line with strategic plans

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIRED

    • Bachelor's degree, preferably in engineering or related discipline
    • Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills
    • Prefer working knowledge of the Toyota Production System, Lean Manufacturing, and/or Six Sigma
    • Prefer hands-on experience implementing LEAN concepts in manufacturing and transactional areas
