    Job Description

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Finance/Accounting Intern will be part of the Zurn Platform and will be based in Milwaukee, WI as part of the Corporate Finance team.  This role will be responsible for supporting month end close processes, account reconciliations, and ensuring compliance to Rexnord policies and procedures.  This role will report to the Director of Finance.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Prepares balance sheet reconciliations (low to medium risk) and various other accounting statements and reports.

    • Assist in the month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing process including preparing journal entries

    • Reviews and verifies the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various records.

    • Assist with other ad hoc accounting projects

    • Independently coordinates accounting matters with other departments, locations and divisions.

    • Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls under SOX and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

    • Preparing and analyzing financial schedules

    • Preparing and analyzing key performance measures

    • Application of financial analysis techniques, tools, and concepts to help drive business results

    EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIRED

    • Junior/Senior at an accredited university with studies in Finance or Accounting

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and particularly strong Excel skills involving pivot tables and macros
