POSITION SUMMARY
The supply chain intern will responsible for negotiating and purchasing materials from suppliers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Possible project responsibilities:
- Evaluates quotes and services to determine most desirable suppliers.
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
- Coordinates shipments with production, purchases inventory items to maintain monthly production requirements, investigates and reconciles all discrepancies.
- Maintains and analyzes inventory levels and makes recommendations.
Places orders with vendors, revisions of orders, follow-up and expediting of orders as needed.
- Works under immediate supervision.
- Purchasing of materials and supplies according to approved requisitions, reporting, and via management as required.
- Recommend/implement changes in purchasing and material management policies as needed.
- Follows, maintains/enforces ISO standards and all compliance requirements.
- Actively supports Rexnord‘s commitment to continuous improvement
