    Job Description

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The supply chain intern will responsible for negotiating and purchasing materials from suppliers. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Possible project responsibilities:

    • Evaluates quotes and services to determine most desirable suppliers.
    • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
    • Coordinates shipments with production, purchases inventory items to maintain monthly production requirements, investigates and reconciles all discrepancies.
    • Maintains and analyzes inventory levels and makes recommendations. Places orders with vendors, revisions of orders, follow-up and expediting of orders as needed.
    • Works under immediate supervision.
    • Purchasing of materials and supplies according to approved requisitions, reporting, and via management as required.
    • Recommend/implement changes in purchasing and material management policies as needed.
    • Follows, maintains/enforces ISO standards and all compliance requirements.
    • Actively supports Rexnord‘s commitment to continuous improvement

    EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIRED

    • Currently attending school for a Bachelor’s degree in a Business discipline. Supply Chain preferred.
    • Must have at least a junior standing, a cumulative G.P.A. of 3.0 or above
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Self motivated individual
    • Available for summer of 2021 (May – August).
