Internship Position Description Global Engineering Support Intern We are looking for a motivated Global Engineering Support Intern to help us complete electro-mechanical engineering assignments working with strategic ink jet technology solutions for the commercial print market place. The student may be involved in projects providing field service procedures and/or providing technical support for new or existing continuous forms ink jet products. As an engineering intern, you will work directly with a team of highly skilled engineers on various projects providing global engineering support to continuous forms ink jet products. Daily duties may include: troubleshooting and problem-solving hardware or firmware issues; developing innovative solutions and tests; designing processes or equipment; collecting/analyzing data; developing hardware solutions and creating prototypes using a 3D inkjet printer and basic machine shop tools; etc. You will be working on advanced digital commercial ink jet printing solutions in a fast-paced development environment. Creativity, teamwork, problem- solving, and excellent communication skills are highly desired. Basic requirements: * Working towards a professional degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or similar fields) * Completed all basic engineering coursework * Creative and hands-on problem solver * Enjoys collaborating in a supportive team environment * Experience with experimental design, instrumentation design, data analysis * Clear communication skills * Basic fabrication skills Preferred experience: * Solidworks experience (or other solid modeling software) * Labview * Matlab * Rapid prototyping techniques (including 3D printing) * Project management * Mini-Baja, Formula SAE or similar class project Education: * Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering major or similar engineering program * Student must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, or enrolled to continue their education in an accredited graduate program.
