Job Description Passive Safety Calibration project engineer (Airbag, Event Data Recorders, Pedestrian Protection, etc.). Direct 1 to 1 consulting for West Coast automotive startup companies to help design state of the art vehicle safety. Responsible to deliver and create calibration datasets and analyze crash data to meet customer and Bosch system requirements. Coordinate calibration related tasks with the global engineering groups at Bosch and customer. Off-site and on-site customer support for crash tests and vehicle integration. Travel to Germany for internal collaboration and to West Coast customers. Qualifications Required B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Physics. 3 years of technical experience in automotive calibration of mechanical, electrical and software intensive systems. Preferred Hands-on experience with airbag module. Familiarity with crash testing and automotive safety regulations. Proven experience networking both internally and externally. Solid communication skills with ability to present at all levels. Understanding of mechanical, electrical and software intensive systems. Sharp attention to detail and polished organization skills.
