Job Description The Bosch Mechatronics Apprenticeship is a full-time training program at the Charleston facility. Mechatronics is a multi-craft program that combines mechanical and electrical skills and knowledge. Apprentices will do the following: * Attend college courses at Bosch Charleston and Trident Technical College to complete education and training assignments for a 2 year Mechatronics Program * Receive credentials from Trident Technical College and Department of Labor * Upon graduation, the apprentices will be placed into skilled labor positions in Charleston. Pay: * Bosch Associates accepted into the program will maintain their current labor grade * External applicants accepted into the program will be considered a full-time regular Bosch associate on their first day in the program (August 20, 2018) which means they will receive all Bosch associate benefits. The pay is $15/hr for the first year of the program and $16/hr for the second year of the program. Qualifications * 18 years old or older with a high school diploma or GED. * A resume must be included with your application. * Must be eligible to attend Trident Technical College * Previous or current Trident Technical College (TTC) students must be in good standing with TTC both academically and financially. * Applicants must be able to perform all physical duties of a skilled labor associate (i.e. heavy lifting, prolonged standing, bending, twisting, reaching) * Applicants must be able to work any shift Additional Information Application process (for all candidates): * All applications MUST be received by Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at 5pm. * Applicants will be sent information on how and when to take the Accuplacer exam at TTC. Applicants will be allowed to take one free Accuplacer placement test for consideration for the program, with a maximum of two attempts. Minimum scores on the Accuplacer test: Reading 83+, Sentence Skills 101+, Elementary Algebra 85+. * Applicants meeting the minimum Accuplacer scores will be scheduled to take a Mechanical Aptitude Test. To be considered for the program you MUST be available to complete onsite Aptitude testing on Saturday, April 28, 2018 (please hold that date now if you wish to be considered for the program). * Applicants meeting the minimum requirements on both the Accuplacer and Aptitude Tests, will be scheduled for an onsite interview.
