Roessel Joy has partnered with a Gates Foundation-backed Biotech company located in Cambridge. The company is seeking an Accounting Analyst who will report directly to the FP&A Director, own month-end close, financial reporting, and manage the AP process. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare timely standard monthly journal entries and maintain monthly reconciliations and related work papers
• Continuous communication with the finance team on the status of the close process overall and assigned areas of focus with regards to the close process
• Assist in preparation of all internal/external financial statements and/or other finance deliverables as requested
• Assist in the year-end audit; will become a point of contact in the process
• Assistance in ensuring financial statements comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Assisting the Finance Team Managers in identifying and executing process improvements
• Continue to develop technical accounting skills through training (internal and external)
• Various ad-hoc projects as they materialize

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be detail-oriented, highly organized, and possess strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Must work well in a fluid environment
• Accounting background required (2-4 years of relevant experience)
• Public Accounting experience preferred, not required
• Experience in grant-funded environment preferred, not required
• Industry experience preferred, not required
• Advanced Excel skills required
