The SENIOR ACCOUNTANT is responsible for financial closing, general ledger account reconciliations, journal entry processing, and other special analyses.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Preparing depreciation analysis for the Meditech general ledger system.
- Performing monthly fixed asset and depreciation expense reconciliation to Meditech.
- Facilitating the preparation of the Defined Contribution 403B annual financial statements and supporting documentation including coordination with outside auditors and vendors.
- Performing special projects as requested by Corporate Controller or Executive Director Finance.
FULL-TIME, 37.5 HOURS A WEEK
MONDAY-FRIDAY 9:00AM-5:00PM
Required Skills
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting – public accounting experience is a plus
- Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), knowledge of ASC842 (Leases) is a plus
- Experience working with general ledger (GL) systems, preferably Meditech or other similar major GL systems
- High level of literacy with Word and Excel including experience with advanced functions such as pivot tables and Vlookup.
- Very detail oriented with strong interpersonal skills
- Capable of working under tight time frame for monthly financial closings
