    We are seeking a candidate to join our company as a PRODUCTION SCHEDULER/PLANNER II.     POSITION PURPOSE

    • Schedule and coordinate flow of work and materials within or between departments of the plant.

    • Reviews master production schedule and work orders, establishes priorities for specific customer orders, and revises schedule according to work order specifications, establishes priorities, and evaluates availability or capabilities of workers, parts, material, machines, and equipment.

    JOB FUNCTIONS

    • Manages daily production needs for equipment over a 24-48 hour period (minimum)

    • Creates and maintains daily schedule to balance efficiencies and customer needs

    • Schedules according to Corporate guidelines and inventory goals.

    • Maintains work in process (WIP) inventories to maintain appropriate inventory levels

    • Collaborates with customer service to achieve maximum throughput and meet customer requirements.

    • Monitors aging materials.

    • Requisitions paperboard and pallets

    • Requisitions corrugate

    • Maintains purchase requisitions and orders

    • Processes SAP workflows

    • Maintains raw material inventories to maximize inventory turns and remain operational

    • Ensures schedule meets shipping commitments to all customers

    • Advises customer service of any unplanned delays in delivery commitments

    • Confers with department supervisors to determine progress of work, to provide information on scheduling changes, and to schedule preventative maintenance on equipment

    • Reviews and communicates production commitments to shipping

    • Researches, compiles, and prepares reports as directed

    • Assesses and makes recommendations to Production Manager on manpower needs including increases and decreases

    • Serves as partial back-up to Production Control Manager

    • Serves as back-up and support for Logistics

    • Shares an obligation to protect and strengthen Graphic Packaging International’s good reputation in our relationships with customers, employees, suppliers, competitors, investors, and governmental agencies, and to act consistently with our core values: Integrity, Respect, Accountability, Relationships, and Teamwork

    JOB SPECIFICATIONS

    • BS degree in related field and/or equivalent experience in a converting facility is preferred

    • Computer Skills: Microsoft Office, and database/scheduling programs

    • Requires use of all general office equipment (e.g. fax, copier, telephone, etc.)

    • On call scheduling, logistics, and materials resource outside normal work hours

    • Professional oral and written communication skills

    • Detail oriented, self-starter, organized

    • Ability to work overtime (greater than 40 hours per week)
