    FULL-TIME, DIRECT HIRE OPPORTUNITY WITH A GREAT COMPANY – SOME FLEX TIME ALLOWED

    My client is a world class leader in business aviation services for commercial and corporate clients. Their corporate headquarters is located in the Bloomfield/Pontiac/Waterford area and they have regional facilities in key locations across the country. The head-quarters complex consists of multiple state-of-the-art hangers and facilities and their culture is down to earth and friendly and always professional.

    POSITION OVERVIEW

    We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to join our finance team. You’ll be primarily responsible for a portion of daily activity within accounts payable and accounts receivable. This position works collaboratively with others in the accounting department and includes financial reporting support. You’ll also be communicating with other departments in the company for information needed to accomplish your responsibilities. This is a full-time direct hire position and we will accommodate a set flex-time schedule once you are established in the role.

    DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

    ·       Prepare and record accounts payable and accounts receivable daily activity

    ·       Complete monthly bank reconciliations in a timely fashion

    ·       Assist with the annual 1099 process

    ·       Develop a strong understanding of the Sage Intacct financial software AP/AR functions

    ·       Become familiar with the expense reporting process and related software

    ·       Assist with month-end close including account reconciliations and account analysis

    ·       Assist management with other assignments as needed

    BACKGROUND AND SKILLS:

    ·       Associate degree in accounting or related financial field is required

    ·       Three plus years of accounting experience

    ·       Experience with Sage Intacct financial software is a plus (but we will train)

    ·       Strong verbal and written communication skills

    ·       Ability to multi-task and prioritize daily work load

    ·       Excellent interpersonal skills for working effectively and collaboratively with associates throughout the company

    ·       Proficient in Microsoft excel

    ·       Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast paced team environment
