  • Responsibilities

    As the NATIONAL ACCOUNT SALES REPRESENTATIVE with SAFCO PRODUCTS, you will be responsible for supporting the national accounts team with activities to drive further sales growth and management of a select group of national accounts that will require developing relationships, implementing sales tools and driving awareness and sales growth in such accounts.

    This full-time position reports directly to the NATIONAL ACCOUNTS MANAGER and will be located at either Safco’s headquarters in New Hope, Minnesota or as a Remote, in-home office position.

    Required Skills

    IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

     

    • Build strong partnerships with internal and external customers to help drive awareness and grow sales of assigned accounts.
    • Responsible for profitable growth within assigned national accounts
    • Update and maintain customer data and portal information including assortment, pricing and programs. Proactively analyze data to report out on trends and opportunities.  
    • Become the key point of contact for customer inquiries and product recommendations that can involve basic space planning.
    • Drive promotional opportunities for selected accounts including proforma rationalization and execution. 
    • Launch new products and enhance existing products by building and facilitating training and education materials for customers. Provide feedback to product development organization for new product opportunities.
    • Build and evolve tools and resources for the national account managers to maximize profitable growth
    • Provide proactive sales support and product recommendations to capitalize on upselling opportunities that provide customer solutions, compliment customer orders and increase purchase order volume and dollars.
    • Develop training modules and execute training virtually and in-person for various seller types to promote and educate sellers on Safco products solutions.
    • Become a key stakeholder to manage the activities within key account supplier programs, including analysis where necessary while continuously finding ways to improve our service, quality and customer experience.
    • Lead the coordination and tracking of account product line reviews and annual catalog reviews.
    • Helps manage all new product uploads and existing product changes and updates into account vendor portals to ensure we have the most up to date, accurate information within our customer portals at all times.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • A Bachelor’s Degree, preferred, or equivalent work experience
    • 5+ years within sales or customer facing position
    • Hunter aptitude and proven track record in identifying new opportunities and driving them to conclusion
    • A drive to become a sales leader and national account manager/sales manager of large accounts
    • Experience in office products and office furniture industry, a plus
    • Strong oral and written communication skills.
    • Strong analytical skills and analyze and use data to drive decision making
    • Expected travel 25%+ or as required
    • Ability to stand, bend, twist, kneel, push, pull and lift (up to 50 lbs. occasionally, 20 lbs. frequently)
