    JOB DESCRIPTION
    The Fire Alarm Technician tests, repairs, and inspects fire detection systems. He or she must provide exceptional service to both internal and external customers.

    RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Perform installation, programming, repair, testing, and inspection of fire detection and signaling systems on a scheduled basis
    • Completes all services following manufacturer instructions, related codes/standards, and Company policies and procedures
    • Schedules inspections with customers as required
    • Provides documentation of inspections for Company records, customer records, authorities with jurisdiction, and any other entity required
    • Communicates discrepancies, necessary system repairs, and other important issues to the Company and the customer
    • Follows up to ensure that suggested repairs to systems are performed
    • EFI Markets services to existing and potential customers
    • Trains Technician Trainees as assigned
    • Commits to work until obligations are met, which may result in overtime
    • Completes continuing education necessary to maintain current certifications and/or licenses as required for position
    • Adheres to ALL Company Standards and Procedures, including the Controlled Substances and Alcohol Standard

    QUALIFICATIONS /Certifications (Required):

    • NICET Level III or IV Fire Alarm Systems certification
    • EST3 or EST4 certification
    • Advanced programming capabilities in fire alarm systems
    Technical Requirements:
    • Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with fire alarm systems
    • Comprehensive knowledge of fire protection codes and standards (NFPA 72, local jurisdiction codes)
    • Expert-level proficiency in system programming, troubleshooting, and advanced diagnostics
    • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
