    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Program Manager Senior will be responsible for meeting established program targets and deliverables. Interacts directly with cross-functional teams and customers as needed to manage projects and expectations. Develops lasting relationships to ensure effective program information, program delivery and drive overall success working with both internal and external customers.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    The following are the core responsibilities of the position. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by direct manager.

    • Responsible for driving project requirements and managing project timeline within AUTOKINITON’s organization to meet work plan objectives.
    • Report timing plan deliverable risks to internal and external management.
    • Act as key customer interface and first point of escalation for program deliverable issues.
    • Ensure all tasks are performed for flawless launch of new businesses adhering to the AUTOKINITON Launch Process (ALP) and program timing requirements.
    • Facilitate resolution of open issues and lead process for decision disposition ensuring all customer concerns have responses and containment statements.
    • Lead all ALP Gated reviews with Leadership
    • Manage and encourage cost savings efforts at the plants on new programs
    • Facilitate program review meetings to ensure compliance to the ALP and ensure program management teams are meeting timing, tracking engineering changes, developing BOM, communicating to key stakeholders (customer, plants, functional leaders) on critical path items.
    • Responsible to assist in supplying requirements to Manufacturing and approving all resolutions to follow-up issues that are presented to the customer,
    • Deliver financial commitments by overseeing issues relating to quality, cost, as well as controlling budget, tracking financial status, and adhering to the program schedule with set customer milestones.
    • Champion the ALP and Campfire systems when executing launch plans.
    • Actively participate in coaching and training efforts to build bench-strength and organizational capabilities as well as create a high-performance work environment.
    • Cascade lessons learned from one program to other programs by making required process changes/additions.
    • Ensure a robust engineering change management plan in place to respond to customers in a timely manner to new change requests, communicate with team members and to implement all changes to promised timing and within budget.
    • Ensure all program/APQP tasks are tracked and executed for on-time PPAP and tooling payments.

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS

    Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in Engineering or a related field preferred or five years or more of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES

    · Minimum of eight (8) years’ experience in stamping, manufacturing processes, materials, and complex assemblies.

    · Minimum Five (5) years automotive project management experience.

    · Proficient knowledge of program budget.

    · Expert knowledge of build and launch processes/procedures along with ability to develop, manage and maintain standardized procedures.

    · Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills.

    • Understanding of GD&T and product design.

    · Strong problem resolution skills, along with customer service and team orientation skills.

    · Proven leadership ability and excellent interpersonal skills.

    · Ability to work well with others in a team environment.

    PREFERRED ADDITIONAL SKILLS & ABILITIES

    Ability to work with the following software packages or programs:

    · Microsoft Office at an intermediate level

    · Effective email and electronic communication skills are required

    Ability to work with the following data base programs and/or hardware:

    · MQ1 database at a basic level

    · OnBase database at a basic level

    · Program Management System at an intermediate level

    Ability to work with the following tools or machinery

    • Understand methods used to measure parts

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS, WORK ENVIRONMENT AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

    Duties include but are not limited to remaining in a stationary position, move about inside an office environment, maneuvre around/under office furniture, operate a computer, printer, and phone. Able to position self to install IT equipment, able to communicate information so others can understand and exchange accurate information in these situations, able to observe details at close range, and have an ability to travel to manufacturing locations. When visiting plant site locations, employees may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, vibration, or hazardous materials.
