    Axis Engineering is dedicated to designing and developing assembly solutions, metal forming and inspection fixtures.

    As a General Laborer, you will operate machines, presses, weld equipment you will receive, verify, issue, and accurately maintain the inventory of all tools, equipment and build material supplies.

    • Lifts metal part or stock onto machine and secures it on machine table, in chuck, or holding fixture.
    • Performs manual bench-type tasks such as sawing, filing, grinding, Milling, Drilling, painting, etc.
    • Removes burrs and excess metal from machined parts.
    • Inspects parts, components, visually for quality defects such as scrap marks, rust, burrs, etc.
    • Delivers metal parts or stock to designated work areas for machining.
    • Inspects and ensures parts, components, and assemblies meet specifications.
    • Labels and/or tag parts and baskets.
    • Make deliveries or pick-ups when needed.
    • Collect or distribute heat treat items.
    • Must have a valid driver’s license.

    REASONING. Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in or from standardized situations.

    MATHEMATICS. Able to uses arithmetic to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers, fractions, decimals and percentages.

    LANGUAGE. Reading: Able to follow simple work instructions. Recognize meanings of two or three syllable words. Able to compare similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Able to speak simple sentences, using normal word order, and present and past tenses.

    COMPUTER: Ability to operate a computer at a basic to intermediate level.

    TEAMWORK: Able to work independently and/or as part of a team.

    MECHANICAL: Demonstrated mechanical skills sufficient to set up and run machinery.
