PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The Owens Corning Sales Development Program (SDP) is designed to recruit outstanding, early-career sales talent through a structured 18-24-month sales development opportunity in the Roofing or Insulation business units. Throughout the program, SDPs will be members of the Inside Sales team, directly supporting a region, and partnering with Area Sales Managers. SDPs will be part of the team sales plan and will play a critical role in the success of the regional objectives through leading training, customer interactions, and special projects. As a member of the program, SDPs are coached and mentored by sales leadership and will have the opportunity to spend the final 12 months in the program located within the territory supported or given direct territory accountability.
Once SDPs have acquired the necessary skills for successful territory management, we work together to identify an Area Sales Manager position. This program facilitates the development of sales competencies through challenging experiences with a defined training curriculum that builds knowledge in Customer Operations, Consultative Sales Strategy, Territory Management, Pricing Strategy, and Product Expertise.
