Job Description

The Engineering Technician is a hands-on position providing support to engineering projects, and manufacturing production area including new equipment qualification, production processes and inspection methods validation, new market launches, labeling, packaging and continuous process improvements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND KEY DELIVERABLES :

• Support development and implementation for manufacturing/quality procedures
• Provide support to quality/engineering team for CAPAs, NCRs, Deviations and SCARs
• Execute validation protocols for existing equipment, Processes and test method validations
• Assist Engineers with the development of new processes, test methods and fixtures
• Support labeling, and packaging improvements projects
• Support new markets launches projects
• Manage data entry for process monitoring activities
• Collaborate with QA and R&D on the qualification of current and future manufacturing suppliers
• Support implementing ergonomic improvements for the cleanroom
• Assist engineers and scientists as they create, modify, and test products and processes
• Prepare and conduct experiments
• Calibrate test equipment

Qualifications

• Minimum of associate degree, preferably in Engineering/Science
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical device industry.
• Understand basic applied statistics, statistical sampling plans, and statistical process control.
• Strong computer skills in the MS office products
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Good technical writing skills
• Exhibits strong organizational skills
• Preferred experience in molding, extrusion and/or packaging
• Preferred experience in executing validation protocols (IQ/OQ)
• Preferred experience in development and interpretation of SOPs, Work Instructions (WIs) and engineering drawings
• Preferred experience in Design and change controls
• Preferred experience in engineering terminology.
