About the Opportunity

Saratech is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer for our Engineering Services Division.  Candidates must be comfortable with customer interaction and be willing to work in a variety of disciplines and across the full range of industries that Saratech supports.

Responsibilities & Objectives

• Review customer requirements
• Formulate solutions to customer needs
• Provide input for proposals, including statements of work, labor, and schedule
• Participate in marketing and business development activities, including attending and presenting at conferences, meeting with customers, and developing technology white papers
• Effective manage internal and sub-tier resources to successfully execute on customer projects.
• Perform regular check ins with manufacturing suppliers to ensure projects are on schedule.
• Provide input on manufacturability for various design build projects.
• Responsible for the design of fabrication and assembly tooling.
• Actively communicate with project team members to provide status reports, both verbally and via email.

Requirements

• BS, MS, or PhD in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
  • Aerospace is preferred.
• Greater than ten years of relevant industry experience in Aerospace manufacturing, including machining, forging, forming, welding, bonding, etc..
• Familiarity with CAD and CAM software
• Skilled in writing and presenting
• Experience with Quality Systems is desired.
• Familiarity with quality systems a plus.
• Familiarity with procurement a plus.
