Products and systems include hydraulic actuation and valve systems, locking actuators, steering metering control valves, fuse pins, hot forged bolts, pneumatic ducting and valve seals, tubing system alignment joints, engine hot section and structural components, airframe components, shock strut bearings, Teflon lined spherical bearings and broad component maintenance, overhaul, spares logistics and power-by-the-hour support services. Sargent is also a major supplier of hydraulic control valves to the US Navy on all Nuclear Class Submarine programs.Sargent has an immediate opening for aMechanical Engineering Intern. -Primary Job Function: -Process repair and overhaul of components.Verify repair to the customer repair order.Provide the plan to complete the parts per customer requirements per all applicable FAA regulations. ·Reverse engineer components ·Create drawings ·Assist Repair Development Engineer -Requirements: Student working on AE, ME or MET degree. Experience in component assembly and disassembly process development would be a plus. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills -MS Office proficient -Preferred Skills: -Tool Design Ability to read blueprint AutoCAD Knowledge in aerospace materials Good communication skills Experience with welding or brazing processes US Citizen -Scheduling -Hourly position - up to 40 hours per week during the summer This job cannot be adapted so that someone with difficulty reading or writing could fully meet job demands.
