This position reports to the Quality Control Laboratory Supervisor and will reside in Tucson, AZ. SCOPE Performs analytical test procedures on raw materials, plant samples and final products. Communicates test results to operations personnel in a timely manner for plant quality control and determination of in-spec material. Performs test results on environmental samples (waste streams). Position Responsibilities: -Performs diverse chemical and/or physical test procedures on products, specialty products and intermediate solids and solutions associated with the Tucson manufacturing process -Determines the chemical purity and/or content of intermediate and final alumina products, alumina-based specialty products, and plant-related solutions, including waste streams, using state-of-the-art instrumentation -Collects, organizes and documents data and enters required data into LIMS in the performance of all laboratory tests. Maintains accurate records of all laboratory tests.
