Were looking for an Environmental Health, and Safety (EHS) Data Management Specialist to grow with us in our Marysville, OH corporate headquarters! If you enjoy a fast-paced, high energy and seasonal manufacturing environment then you will fit in well as an EHS Data Management Specialist for Scotts Miracle-Gro. On a day-to-day basis you will help mitigate and eliminate risk related to our facilities, products and people. In this role you will: * Proactively identify new and existing EHS Data Management System functions and related costs that should be included in EHS and business operations processes and budgets. * Drives and influences continual EHS compliance improvement by collaborating with and influencing EHS and Operations leaders across the global enterprise to use the EHS Data Management Systems to proactively manage EHS risk. * Assists in the development and implementation of the strategy to deploy EHS Data Management Systems across the global enterprise. * Prepares and distributes reports and communications related to EHS metrics and compliance assurance as necessary. Initiates the optimization and automation of system report subscriptions. * Maximizes the use of EHS Data Management Systems to ensure critical EHS information is communicated across the company and collaborates with EHS and Operations personnel to ensure regulatory agency inquiries and reporting obligations are met. * Educates, trains and mentors employees on EHS Data Management Systems. Administers training and development of back-up users to ensure system continuity. * Assist in the implementation and maintenance of EHS data management system software. Translate business needs into efficient and effective system design with a focus on content and end user experience. * Ensures the acquisition, development, testing, updating/revision, and deployment of EHS Data Management Systems and associated processes and programs are completed. * Ensures key EHS Data Management System metrics are defined. Oversees the relationship with our external EHS Data Management System vendors. Oversees data migration, user accounts, and organizational hierarchy. * Serves as the primary EHS Data Management Systems contact for the global enterprise. The perfect person will have: * BS/BA in an EHS related technical, scientific, or engineering discipline. * One to three years of EHS experience in manufacturing, agriculture, or related field. * Working knowledge of applicable environmental regulations and standards, including waste, transportation, stormwater, drinking water, air, etc. Some other nice to haves: * Knowledge of data management systems and tools, SAP experience is preferable. * Strong leadership, facilitation, problem solving, organizational, communication and decision making skills.
