The project will involve development, testing and optimization of various metrology techniques and recipes for Reader/Writer processes and development of measurement recipes for the same. About you: * Currently in an advanced degree program (MS or Ph.D.) in Physics, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering or other relevant science or engineering field. * A candidate with relevant experience nearing completion of a Bachelor's degree would also be considered. * 3.0 GPA or above. * Advanced skills and experience in thin film optical characterization techniques and electron beam microscopy or atomic force microscopy techniques highly desirable. * Excellent spoken and written communication skills; strong initiative and motivation. * Statistical data analysis skills; proficiency in metrology gauge capability analysis, calibration and statistical process control (SPC) methods considered a plus.
