    Intern - Wafer Metrology Bloomington, MN/en-US/EXT/job/Bloomington-MN/Intern---Wafer-Metrology_184891/apply184891 Intern - Wafer Metrology (Open) About us: Seagate is looking for an Intern to work in the Recording Head Operations Wafer Process Engineering department as part of the Wafer Metrology group located in Bloomington, MN. nbsp; About the role: This intern will work with lead Metrology Engineers on the development and implementation of metrology for wafer process control. The project will involve development, testing and optimization of various metrology techniques and recipes for Reader/Writer processes and development of measurement recipes for the same. About you: * Currently in an advanced degree program (MS or Ph.D.) in Physics, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering or other relevant science or engineering field. * A candidate with relevant experience nearing completion of a Bachelor's degree would also be considered. * 3.0 GPA or above. * Advanced skills and experience in thin film optical characterization techniques and electron beam microscopy or atomic force microscopy techniques highly desirable. * Excellent spoken and written communication skills; strong initiative and motivation. * Statistical data analysis skills; proficiency in metrology gauge capability analysis, calibration and statistical process control (SPC) methods considered a plus.
