The program is designed to expose interns to multiple finance roles to expand possible career options within the finance organization. Interns will also participate in Seagate sponsored team building activities, lunch-and-learn with executives, and end their assignment with a showcase of their projects. This is a robust program designed for a broad exposure to a world class finance organization, explore career paths and build a network of finance professionals. Projects have included, but not limited to: * Corporate Finance Immersion: Exposure to multiple finance leaders and discussions regarding their roles and career journey. * Finance Communication and Investor Relations: Monitor markets and trends around the data-centric ecosystem. * Finance Operations: Participate in operational activities of a world class finance organization such as plan and manage meetings across global functions. * Financial Reporting: Assist with Financial Reports review for public filings such as 10-K and Proxy. * Revenue Analysis: Assist with design and build of an analytics dashboard for pricing waterfall forecast management. * Revenue Recognition: Review customer contracts and build a revenue recognition matrix to support calculation of revenue. * Internal Audit: Assist in testing for internal audit projects. * Process Improvement: Participate in SOX 404 financial statements processes risk assessment and testing. Requirements Currently enrolled in a undergrad or Masters degree program in Finance, Accounting, Economics, and Business Administration and/or related discipline and returning to school fall 2019. * Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, charts, tables). * Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail. * Be a self-starter who drives progress and results while meeting critical deadlines. * Ability to multi-task, work independently, and prioritize deliverables. * Be a true team player who works closely and cohesively with others. * Excellent communication and presentation skills. * A minimum 3.0 GPA. * Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident. #internship Job Family: SupportPosted 2 Days AgoFull time184138 At Seagate, our mission is genuine and simple: Empower people by enhancing their digital world.
