    Intern - Sub-component amp; System Qualification Bloomington, MN/en-US/EXT/job/Bloomington-MN/Intern---Sub-component---System-Qualification_185254-1/apply185254 Intern - Sub-component amp; System Qualification (Open) About the role: A test platform has been developed to support critical resonance testing of Recording Head Suspensions. This platform is undergoing improvements requiring qualification and integration onto the main test system. This project will include building up modules and subsystems, integrating subsystems into full test system, designing experiments to verify functionality and that requirements are met, performing those experiments, and writing a report. Responsibilities of the MDVT Intern will include: * Working with an engineering mentor to learn the engineering fundamentals of metrology equipment, sensor technology, signal processing, and automated tools used in recording head development and manufacturing. * Perform process amp; metrology improvement projects to compliment new product designs. * Learn the functionality of sub-components of a new test platform, integrate them into the system and perform verification testing. * Creating technical documentation to communicate results to the engineering community and share improvements with factories in Asia. About you: * Student pursuing a BS or MS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Physics. * Familiar with Mechanical Engineering, Python, LabView, hands on lab experience/general lab equipment like oscilloscopes, function generators, power supplies, and Data Analysis.
