    Intern - Electrical Test Shakopee, United States/en-US/EXT/job/Shakopee-United-States/Intern---Electrical-Test_185207/apply185207 Intern - Electrical Test (Open) We are looking for an Electrical Test Intern to work in the Advanced Recording Technology Lab within Seagate Research located in our design center in Shakopee, MN. About the role: This position may be responsible for detailed performance characterization of future recording head designs, media designs, HDD storage designs and the supporting electronics. Emphasis will be on characterizing the recording process through spin stand testing of components as well as HDD based testing. This work includes, but is not limited to, designing detailed magnetic recording experiments, operating spin stand test systems, bench level HDD testing, performing data analysis, and presenting results to internal and external development teams. Future recording technologies to be studied may include HAMR and HDMR. About you: Student pursuing a Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, physics or similar field. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to program in Python. Teamwork is a core competency at Seagate, so individual must be able to work and communicate effectively with a diverse group of engineers and technicians. Demonstrated innovation and self-motivated worker. Basic understanding of the tests typically used to characterize recording heads and media. Ability to use electronic equipment (electrical circuits, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, etc.), The practical capability to operate spin stand test systems.
