As Senior Team Lead at Saint-Gobain Abrasives, you’ll play a key role in driving daily operations of the distribution center, guiding associates and partnering with leadership to deliver productivity, quality and customer service.

    As a Senior Team Lead, you’ll be the force behind daily operations in our distribution center - ensuring every product moves safely, accurately, and on time. You’ll champion safety standards, optimize performance through data-driven insights, and lead a team that thrives on collaboration and continuous improvement.

    This is a role for someone who loves solving problems, mentoring others, and making a real impact. From training on powered industrial equipment to leading Lean initiatives and stepping in as Supervisor when needed, you’ll be empowered to lead with confidence and grow your career in a supportive, high-performance environment.

    TO MAKE SURE NOTHING IS FORGOTTEN

    Essential Functions:

    Safety:

    • Steer compliance for safety practices including housekeeping, 5S, safety team meetings/training, incident reporting and investigations
    • Follow the Saint-Gobain Golden Rules of safety and all OSHA standards
    • Perform Jungheinrich powered industrial truck (PIT) equipment training to train others in a safe and efficient manner.

    Operations:

    • Uses expert level Excel knowledge to manage KPI’s, productivity, quality and service data analytics
    • Applies Lean problem-solving techniques including Root cause analysis, 5 why analysis, solution selection, control processes and reporting
    • Research issues in JDA, SAP, Navisphere, FedEx, UPS shipping, and BOL generation
    • Functional knowledge of all processes of Inbound, Outbound and Inventory Control

    Leadership:

    • Acting Supervisor during absences across all shifts, ensuring leadership and operational efficiency
    • Train, mentor and support team leads to foster a high-performance culture and encourage professional growth
    • Support onboarding, performance feedback and coaching of employees
    • Review, reconcile and approve time and attendance of hourly associates

    Requirements

    • Associates degree with a concentration in Industrial Engineering/ Lean Six Sigma/Data Science is preferred
    • 3+years of relevant work experience in a warehouse setting in lieu of education, required
    • High School diploma/GED is required
    • 1+year experience as a Team Lead in a warehouse setting is required
    • 1+years experience with forklift equipment, specifically Rider Reach Forklift, Stock Picker Forklift, Rider Counterbalance Forklift, Tugger is preferred
    • Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Excel to monitor data, create pivot tables/charts, formulas, combine data from multiple spreadsheets for analysis
    • Knowledge of JDA/Blue Yonder, and Microstrategy
