We have an outstanding opportunity for an experienced professional at our North American headquarters as a Marketing Manager – Commercial Segment.

     

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Own the Commercial Specialty product portfolio, P&L and expense budget and lead the development and execution of annual plans to align with Commercial Segment sales and profit goals.
    • Oversee day-today marketing tasks including sales requests, product, pricing and competitive analysis, liaising with manufacturing, supply chain and other key suppliers, proactively supporting Customer Service activities and representing Marketing on cross-functional project teams.
    • Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, launch and measure specialty line new products. Deliver launch activities on time and with excellence.      
    • Collaborate with marketing and sales team colleagues and agency partners to build and execute integrated advertising, communications and promotional activities to achieve Commercial brand equity and financial targets.
    • Conduct analysis and regular reviews of the Commercial Specialty product portfolio and competitive, category, customer and consumer trends to enhance the portfolio’s equity and marketplace performance. Share findings and implications across the organization.
    • Support the selling process as needed through sales training activities and participation in key line reviews and customer meetings.
    • Maintain product database and assist with new item set-up process.
    • Manage new item/special order request process.
    • Travel up to 20% of the time, including potential travel to Europe, Mexico and Canada.

     

    DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

     

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field required. MBA preferred.

    • Minimum 5+ years working experience and a strong track record as a brand/marketing manager in base business and innovation roles.
    • Previous experience and success across all core brand management activities including tactical plan execution and analytical review, consumer insight identification, cross-functional team leadership, advertising and communications development and planning and innovation/new product launch leadership
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to run financial analyses (P&L, ROI, etc.) independently.
    • Well-organized with ability to multi-task and think outside of the box.
    • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to effectively develop and present recommendations to senior management, across functions and to varying-sized groups.
    • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to work collaboratively as a member of global teams as well as lead North American cross-functional project teams.
    • Detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to prioritize projects, work within short time frames and meet deadlines.
    • Ability and willingness to take on a variety of roles from leader to strategic contributor to tactical implementer in lean organization with limited support infrastructure.

    • Experience with Supply Chain, Planning and Procurement business areas 
    • Experience with ERP and/or MRO systems such as Maximo, Infor, SAP, Oracle, JDEdwards, Ariba 
    • Thorough understanding of standard delivered software process logic 
    • Skills in testing and evaluation of new computer system functionality 
    • Production support of existing computer system functionality 
    • Business process analysis, documentation, and presentation. 
    • Interaction with users from various supply chain functional areas (sales, order processing, shipping, logistics, credit, A/R, finance, etc.) 
    • Coordinate and assist in development and execution of system conversions.
    • Excellent organizational skills
    • 4+ years of training (including IT course development and delivery) experience.
