Role Summary/Purpose: We are looking for a Shared Services Finance Co-op to join our GE Appliances team. Our Finance team provides world class collections services and customer experiences. This is a paid co-op position with the opportunity to grow within the Finance Organization. This position is 40 hours per week for the summer break.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN & DO

• Support the Shared Services Team with assigned project work and collections calls.
• Gather and organize required documentation such as invoices, proof of deliveries, and waivers.
• Utilize MS Excel and Access for customer account research, statement creation, and account reconciliation.
• Utilize customer or 3rd party web portals for research and resolution of past due invoices and deductions.
• Research unapplied cash and credits, and reconcile with customer invoices or deductions.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

EDUCATION

Required

• Currently Pursuing Bachelors Degree or better

EXPERIENCE

Required

• Ability to multi-task in a number of systems for billing, accounts receivables, and other outside systems
• Must be actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or other business related field
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite - including Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
• Strong professional oral and written communication skills
• Must be comfortable dealing with external and internal customers
• Team player with high degree of personal accountability, self-directed, organized, and takes initiative
• Must be able to work 40 hours per week during normal business hours (8AM-5PM) Monday-Friday.

Most positions are located in Louisville, KY (our Corporate HQ). Assignments are also available in Camden, SC; Decatur, AL; LaFayette, GA; Selmer, TN. Housing and relocation assistance is available for eligible students.
