Location: Denton, TX Position Summary Under the direction of the Transportation Manager, this position is instrumental in managing the day-to-day transportation of company products. The Transportation Coordinator is primarily responsible for using the TMS to combine company sales orders into full truckloads, coordinating the transport of finished goods to and from the company facilities and ultimately to the final customer. Duties include maintaining strong working relationships with the carriers and members of the sales teams along with all other departments of Bar-S Foods. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities - Maintain relationships with contract carriers, sales force and customers - Communicate at the order entry and sales representative level - Ensure all sales orders and loads are accounted for and delivered as ordered - Assist in the coordination of shuttles between company facilities - Responsible for coordinating OS&D issues at the delivery locations - Create and distribute weekly shipping reports, customer pick up schedules and daily sales order reports - Other duties as required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Education and Experience - Bachelors Degree preferred - Experience with MS Office including Excel, Word PowerPoint and Outlook required - 1-3 years related experience preferred - Bi-Lingual (Spanish) preferred Skills and Abilities - Able to identify and solve problems independently and as a team - Excellent time managements skills, able to meet deadlines with a high level of accuracy - Adhere to policies, procedures and instruction from supervisor - Build and maintain solid working relationships both inside and outside the company - Function as a team player with a positive attitude Physical Requirements - Sitting, Standing, Bending, stooping for up to 8 hours a day Work Environment - Work in an environmentally controlled office environment - Infrequent travel (less than 10% of the time) such trips may include overnight stays and/or air travel.
