Human Resources Coordinator McKinney, TX/en-US/External/job/McKinney-TX/Human-Resources-Coordinator_R352/apply Position Summary The Human Resources Coordinator will partner with the Human Resources Business Partner, HR Team, and Branch to drive company initiatives. This person will create an environment of positive employee relations, keep confidentiality, establish trust and credibility, be seen by employees and management as approachable and fair, balance business needs with employee needs, and spend significant time interfacing directly with the employee base. Responsibilities 30% of the time you will provide assistance with recruiting processes and act as the primary on-boarding representative, being instrumental in engaging quality candidates; orienting new employees to Simpson and their departments; and supporting supervisors through transitions/milestones. Responsible for personnel file creation and maintenance and other onboarding processes as necessary. Interface with home office Payroll to ensure HRIS accuracy. Processes terminations including requesting final check and collecting applicable company property. 30% of the time you will provide exceptional, no-equal customer service to employees, external customers, management, and HR counterparts. Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations and other generalist activities. Administers Simpsons benefits programs, answers employees inquiries, interfaces with the broker when necessary to ensure proper procedures are followed. Assist with employee services and programs. Respond to requests from government agencies, banks, including:nbsp; Employment verifications, EDD, State Disability, garnishment notifications, and payroll deductions.nbsp; Cross-train with other HRCs and set up an exchange for employees 25% of the time you will assist HRBP with branch and company HR initiatives, by providing input and completing a variety of tasks from project management to monitoring and reporting (as designed by the project team), including having high involvement in projects specific to the administration of HR at Simpson. Help the HR department sustain cultural elements of the organization while supporting change, moving employees to self-service and lean processes. Assist the branch HR department with total organization, including managing deadlines, supporting high-quality communication, documenting, reporting, and identifying trends and opportunities. Represent Simpson and the HR departments vision, mission and values at all times. 15% of the time you will support and properly apply and enforce Simpson policies and practices. Assist in the establishment of new policies as needed. Assist with the intake of employee concerns, investigate and ensure fair resolution of issues in keeping with Simpson policies and practices and, where applicable, in compliance with the union contract.nbsp;nbsp; Qualifications * Bachelors Degree (B.A./B.S.) preferred. * PHR Certification preferred. * 1 year related experience/or training. * Communication: Communicate verbally in an appropriate way for the audience he/she is speaking to. Travel Required This job requires domestic/international travel, 20% of the time. Work Status and Location This full-time, exempt position is located in McKinney, TX.
